some features of Productive skill.
Ans: The productive skills
are speaking and writing, because learners doing these need to
produce language. They are also known as active skills. They can be compared
with the receptive skills of listening and reading.
b) Briefly
explain about Ignoring and selective listening.
Ans:
Ignoring: The
lowest level of listening is called ignoring -not listening at all. If you are
distracted by anything while talking to a user, they get the impression you are
ignoring them. For example, while the user is speaking, you start conversation
with another IT support tech. you are ignoring your user.
Selective listening: Selective
listening is when you focus your attention on some specific information. It is
involves consciously or unconsciously choosing to listen to what is relevant to
you and ignore what isn’t.
c) Write
about stage 1 and stage 2 in listening process.
Ans: The listening
process into five stages
· Receiving:
The
first stage of listening process is receiving the speaker’s massage which
involves isolating the massage from all other sounds and interpreting what’s
been said.
· Understanding:
In understanding stage we attempt to learn meaning of the massage, which is not
always easy. For one thing is a speaker does not enunciate clearly it may be
difficult to tell what massage was.

d) How
to improve effective listening? Explain
Ans: It can be
beneficial to evaluate your current listening skill to determine areas for
improvement. Here are some ways to improve your skill
· Maintain
eye contact with the speaker.
· Visualize
what the speaker is saying.
· Limit
judgments.
· Don’t
interrupt.
· Wait
for a pause to ask question.
· Ask
clarify questions.
· Empathize
with speaker.
· Pay
attention to nonverbal cues.
· Provide
the speaker with feedback.

Ans: Reading
comprehension is the ability to read text, process it and understand it’s
meaning. It relies on two interconnection abilities, word reading (being able
to decode the symbols on the page) and language comprehension (being able to understand
the meaning of the word and statement)

Ans:
Listening skill: Listening
skill is the ability to accurately receive and interpret massages in the
communication process. Listening is key all effective communication.
Listing process into five stages
· Receiving:
The
first stage of listening process is receiving the speaker’s massage involves
isolating massage from all other sounds and interpreting what’s been said.
· Understanding:
In
understanding stage we attempt to learn meaning of the massage, which is not

the listening process the remembering stage occurs as the audience categorizes
and retain the information they have gathered from the speaker for future
access.
· Evaluating:
The
fourth stage of the listening process is evaluating. Evaluation of the same
massage can be varied widely from one listener to another. The stages two,
three and four are represented the brain because it is the primary tool
involved with these stages of the listening process.
· Responding:
The
responding stage is the stage of the listening process, wherein the listener
provides verbal or non-verbal reaction based on short- and long-term memory.

is reading skill? Interpret the reading strategies which are beneficial to
improve reading skill.

comprehension is the ability to read text process it and understand its

current reading skill to determine areas for improvement. Here are some ways to
improv your skill
Decoding: Decoding
is the skill that relies on your ability to sound out you’ve heard but never
seen written out. It relies on phonemic awareness which is the ability to hear
individual sounds in words and connect the sounds to letter.
Fluency: Fluency refers to
mix of different factors. First it focuses your ability to read clearly with flow.
Fluency also focuses on your ability to decode new vocabulary quickly while
reading.
Vocabulary:
Vocabulary is the ability to decode or determine meaning of the new words can
also influence your reading comprehension.
Inference:
Inference is also a key element of reading comprehension. When we make
inferences, we are connecting information from texts our own ideas and opinions
that help us identify the meaning of what we read.
Retention: Reading
comprehension is typically all about retaining what we read. Comprehension is
based on the retention information. By practicing your summarize skills and
remembering what you read, you can further strengthen your reading
comprehension.
